"Sons of Anarchy" app a bust

Well, today I downloaded the New-Improved "Sons of Anarchy" app and as reported by other Android users, it closed the moment I launched it. So once again, the app — for me, at least — is a bust.

Oh, well ... I don't need to watch my phone and the TV at the same time anyway. My mind is already splintered enough.

But the show launches its 5th season tonight and I will be sure to record it to watch on Wednesday. It's pretty rare these days that I stay up to watch a show at 10 p.m. Especially on a weeknight. Guess that means I'm old. Interestingly enough, the Nielsen company just reported that its TV surveys are showing more people with nontraditional TV habits than ever before. I know we watch more Netflix streaming these days than over-air or cable.

For those who can't get enough SAMCRO, Russell Brand is hosting a live chat on the web  with Kurt Sutter and the cast asking fan questions in the hour before the season premiere tonight. I like to see the stars out of character and tallking about the show.

SOA rocks!

  1. We don't have cable, never thought of Netflix! My fave Ron Perlman role is Hellboy.

  2. Call me out of touch (or old, either one) - Never heard of the Sons of Anarchy ... like, is it a TV show or what? I don't netflix but I have satellite TV - can't tell you how many channels (hundred's I guess) and I still sit down, scroll through the menu and say, "Man, nothin' on TV again tonight." (Would rather have a destination to ride to - ah, for an infinite summer holiday.)

  3. Oh, my goodness. I thought everybody knew the show. It's on FX network, created by Kurt Sutter (sutterink.blogspot.com)and it's *kind of* a spinoff of "The Shield" (another great show). It's also available streaming on Netflix, but you won't be able to see the current season until the next one begins. Katey Sagal is outstanding in it. I could go on ...
